A fortunate meeting in 1979 with Ron Kurtz at a 10-day retreat in the swamps of Florida introduced me to this great teacher and his work, which the following year adopted the name 'Hakomi'. I was certified by Ron as a practitioner in 1983, then several years later, certified as a Hakomi Teacher. Ron invited me to assist him at Trainings in Ashland, Oregon and Mexico (Latin America's 1st Training). With Wendy Wildfong, the first Canadian to be certified, we established 'Hakomi Ontario' which for several years offered workshops in Toronto and invited Donna Martin, Flint Sparks and Rob Fisher (of the Hakomi Institute) to lead workshops in that city. I was happy to attend the first HEN gatherings in Puerto Morelos, Mexico & Vancouver, Canada.

Meanwhile I've taught Hakomi in about 10 countries on 4 continents, I enjoy sharing our deep and transformational method in cross-cultural settings. These days, I tend to a private practice, mostly on Zoom, am developing teaching possibilities with indigenous and African populations, and am gathering ideas to write about Hakomi.

Since the age of 8, I've been evolving the Korason Method for Authentic Voice & Dialogue. Ron gave me his blessing to integrate KM with Hakomi, and in the accompaniment of these two somatic, mindful modalities, a profound & exhilarating healing path has opened up for myself, clients & students.
